Animal Rescue Charity
The Animal Rescue Charity, founded in 1991 by Jan and Fiona Rose, started as a compassionate response to the strays and unwanted pets left at their doorstep, initially from the neighboring police station.
This mother-daughter duo's commitment to animal welfare led to the establishment of a charity, now known as "the small charity with a big heart," dedicated to providing sanctuary for neglected, unwanted, and abandoned animals.
The charity's primary aim is to offer a safe haven and refuge for animals, treating and rehabilitating them – this includes wildlife. A key focus is on overcoming the pain and suffering these animals have endured, addressing their needs with kindness, understanding, respect, and compassion.
Recognising that animals cannot speak for themselves, the charity acts as their voice, advocating for a life free from fear and exploitation for each animal under its care.
Additionally, the Animal Rescue Charity runs a comprehensive rehabilitation programme. This ensures that all animals leaving the sanctuary are well cared for and receive the affection and support they need to thrive in their new homes. The charity's mission is not only to rescue but also to provide a transformative impact on the lives of the animals they help.
