Beloved Rabbits

Beloved Rabbits, a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO #SC049128), has been championing rabbit welfare and rescue in Scotland since its formation in March 2019, building on its legacy as Fairly Beloved Rabbit Care, established in 2010 by David and Feona Bell.

With over a decade of experience, Beloved Rabbits stands out as the first and only rabbit-dedicated rescue charity in the area, committed to elevating the welfare standards of domestic rabbits.

The charity's core services include rabbit rescue and rehoming, adoption, bonding services, care advice, and general welfare education. Originating as a foster-based rescue, it relies on a growing network of over 40 foster carers across seven local authority areas, providing focused care to prepare rabbits for successful rehoming.

Beloved Rabbits operates with the support of over 100 volunteers, encompassing various roles from care assistants to directors, all contributing their time and skills without pay. This ensures that every donated penny is reinvested into their rabbit welfare services. The charity also runs an active education and awareness programme, engaging with schools, nurseries, and community events to promote rabbit welfare.

The success of Beloved Rabbits is a testament to its dedicated team of volunteers and foster carers, who transform the founders' visions into an effective rescue service, profoundly impacting rabbit welfare in Scotland.
